In larger rooms, such as in a commercial establishment like a restaurant, a small 12-inch TV that mounts under the cabinet may not be the right solution. In those cases, an under counter TV mount can be installed, and a standard television attached to it.
Rather than buy a wall-mount, there are mounts available that attach to the cabinets, so the TV hangs down below it. The advantage is that it does not do any damage to the wall. However, one must be certain that the television they are attaching to the mount is not too heavy for either the mount, or the cabinet.
Generally, a light-weight LCD TV will be mounted to it. Any other type of model will likely be too heavy.
They typically allow you to flip the TV up out of the way, which makes it ideal for commercial applications where common areas need to be cleaned regularly.
If you are not interested in an all-in-one under cabinet TV, consider getting an under counter TV mount.
