Under Cabinet LCD TV

This website is designed to have the information you need to find the best possible under counter TV, or under cabinet TV for your individual needs.

If you want to mount a television above your counters, the best option available is an under-cabinet LCD TV.  Almost without exception, the TVs that mount under your cabinets come with an LCD panel because it is so thin and light.  There are no units that come without an LCD...the only way to do that is to buy a mount and a small TV sepearately.

But that would be impractical since the cost of under-cabinet LCD TVs is so reasonable.  They cost little more than a standard DVD player.  The major difference in cost is due to the size of the screens.  Screen sizes range from about six inches up to about 12 inches.  There are larger models, but they become significantly more expensive.

The biggest advantages of using an LCD TV under you cabinet is, of course, the size and the weight.  Because LCDs are so light-weight, they can be screwed into the bottom of your cabinets without fear of pulling the bottoms of the cabinets out.  Additionally, most people use these types of units to conserve space...for example, mounting one in the kitchen to keep the counter space usable.  The small screens are perfect for staying out of the way.  In fact, most units have the ability to flip the screen up out of the way, to make more room below the cabinet.

There is one drawback about an under cabinet LCD TV screen: the brightness of the screen.  While most screens are acceptable, some of the cheaper models have screens that won't be seen well in very bright rooms.  Be sure to avoid the cheap units, or make sure that there is a good refund policy in place.

Under cabinet LCD TVs are generally a great way to watch your favorite DVDs or TV shows in rooms with limited space.
